Some
helpful information to help you decide on
your charter package:
1/2 day trips are usually what I consider
"Fun Fishing". 4 hours gives us
enough time to fish any of the near shore
waters for snapper, grouper, tarpon, barracuda,
and shark. No matter what the weather and
sea state is, there is always somewhere protected
from the conditions to catch fish. On these
types of charters, the priority is on getting
out there, and having fun. Catching fish is
the easy part and the weather is perfect 320
days a year. Also, Key West reef fishing offers
a very high chance of success.
3/4 day trips simply allow us more
time to get to the serious fishing
grounds for the bigger trophy fish. Some of
the best shipwrecks hold giant groupers, amberjacks,
cobia, and more. If you are interested in
a serious fishfight, this is the trip for
you. In some of the most beautiful and pristine
waters you can possibly imagine, the Marquesa
Islands offer some of the best backcountry
fishing in the world. It takes an hour to
get there, but you still get a solid four
hours of great light tackle fishing before
you have to head back.
The full day trips are for us serious
fishermen who like to go big game hunting.
This is what it is all about: Marlin, Sailfish,
Swordfish, kingfish, Wahoo, and Dolphin. 25
miles offshore Key West is the world famous
"Wall" It is a 2,000 foot underwater
cliff. This is where the big boys live. ON
these trips we break out the heavy tackle:
outriggers, downriggers, and the 50 lb rods
with Penn 6/0 reels. Not for the light hearted. |
